SUMMER JAILBREAK
Was a SUCCESS!
The winning Team 'Gingers on Tour' Managed to hitch a total of 1325 miles away from Durham to end up in Tangiers, Morocco and Team ''Bucket List' travelled 872 miles overland to end up in Treviso, Italy grabbing the title 'furthest overland'.
There were many entertaining quotes to keep the DUCK monitoring team going:
Team Scadal in Thailand - 'just had a bucket of water chucked on us from an upper story window. Luckily most of it missed :p'
Team 'Canary convicts' - ' lol, disastrous start- woman thought she was driving south.....was actually north.... so we had to double back.... At Durham services and finally back on track!'
Yorkshireman of Castle - ' weve driven past signs for chessington world of adventures, thorpe park, and alton towers today. The little child inside each of us is sobbing. '
Usains's Bolts - ' Rosie uses her seductive charm to get us a lift so now en route to South Mimms, living the dream. '

FORMALLY LOST was a GIGANTIC Sucess!
Over £3000 was raised for charity between 54 Durham students!
Well done to all participants! Especially the winners Hannah Blackburn and James Camden, team 'Alone and Vulnerable' who made it to the DUCK Office at 11.10 before the coach even got back!
The challenges set along the hitch led involved climbing a tree, balancing the 'full' bottle of wine somewhere amusing, bringing back something yellow and also something weighing over 10lbs.
I'm not sure if we really appreciated having a bag of decomposing food brought into the DSU, but I admit it was over 10lbs!
Look out for even more Hitch Events happening next term and Next year!
